Head's Welcome

Welcome to Holywell International School

Our school is a very special place.

Holywell International School Limited was established in April 2018, we received our first children in September 2018. We are situated at Agona Swedru in the central Region of Ghana.

We admit children from 9 months to 1-year-olds and above. Our motto is “Every Child Matters” This set the tone for our teaching and learning philosophy and defines how we engage with and support our children.

Holywell International School aspires to become a hub for a world-class learning environment and academic excellence. We are a Bible believing school and believes in the One True God and Jesus Christ His son. We however accept children from all faiths and religious persuasions.

We seek to ensure that majority of our teaching approaches and activities are IT driven, research based, and learner-centred. We incorporate the Ghana Education Service curriculum alongside the Montessori teaching approach in order to expose our children to a rich and varied teaching methods and experiences. Thereby seeking to broaden their outlook and help them develop skills and experiences which will enable them to compete with standards anywhere in the world.

Again, we apply the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics – STEM approach which helps the children to be problem solvers and critical thinkers. Holywell International School is strongly biassed towards Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Technology and Entrepreneurship. We therefore intend to train and develop ‘JOB CREATORS’ instead of ‘JOB SEEKERS’

Our children are incredible, we have the most dedicated staff who put the children at the heart of their decision-making and interactions enriching the learning experience for our children.

We are a high achieving school and provide all our children with a curriculum that is exciting, challenging and creative. Our teaching staff are professional and well-trained and are committed to achieving the highest standards for our children. We are keen on proving the children with rich and dynamic experience, we do this by investing heavily in co-curricular activities such as Cadet Corps, Visual Arts, Music and Dance, Sporting Activities and a Robotics Club.

We have a fantastic playground, a spacious and colourful compound and a learning environment bursting with trees, beautiful flowers which creates a conducive atmosphere for our children to thrive.

The wellbeing of learners is at the heart of this inclusive school, we pride ourselves on building an incredibly strong relationships with the children, so we can get the best out of them.

Our facilitators are innovative and take their continuous professional development seriously, thereby embracing new changes to create a dynamic teaching and learning environment for our children. As a result, our learners love attending school regularly.

We have a strong sense of the ‘Holywell Family’ and this is a significant strength of the school. We have a good relationship with our parents and the wider community. However, don’t take my word for it: come and visit us to see the children actively learning and playing and get a feel for what it is like to be part of our Holywell Family!
